Schuyler’s 100 Things to do Before Kindergarten

This was on the DC Savvy Source and was a list compiled by the site author and other contributions … most of them I really like … for now the ones in Red are ones Schuyler has accomplished … once we have another little one in our midst I’ll make a new list for him …

  1. Write their own name
  2. Know their home address
  3. Be able to tell someone both parents’ real names (not just Mom and Dad!)
  4. Memorize a parent’s cell phone number
  5. Understand stranger danger
  6. Know what to do if they get separated from a parent in public
  7. Know how to get out of the house in case of a fire and where to meet
  8. Dial 911 in emergencies
  9. Open a bank account
  10. Posses a passport
  11. Check out library books with their own library card
  12. Catch a fish
  13. Beat an adult at a board game
  14. Climb a tree higher than mom’s comfort level
  15. Experience skiing for the first time (we will probably change this one)
