Week Twenty-Eight

So we saw the doctor Saturday morning and boy am I sick … I have ear infections in both ears and I have coxsackie virus … red bumps in my throat … I’ll tell you I was none too happy having someone looking in my ears again … but I got a prescription of the pink stuff that I love to take and the doc said I should stay out of school for the week and that mommy should try and get me to drink as much as I can even though I am probably not going to want to …
Well mommy and daddy had already planned on keeping me home from school … it was only open for 3 days and if I don’t go all week then it is half price … I figure they are saving the money to buy me more gifts …
So Saturday I was in pretty bad shape … fever … didn’t want to eat anything cause it hurt too much to swallow … so mommy sat and held me most of the day … I slept in her arms a lot while she watched movies …
Sunday I was a little more myself … and started eating a little … my fever started to go down as well … we spent another day laying around which was good for me …
I got to spend the whole week with Daddy which was awesome … we have so much fun together … he dances with me and we listen to music … we take little snoozes together and watch The History Channel … it is awesome … and he brags to mommy about how good I am while she is gone … it is a blast … I missed the buggy at school and my friends but nothing beats hanging out with daddy …
On Thursday morning mommy didn’t have to go to work … we hung out in the kitchen and cooked green bean casserole and corn casserole because we were going to grandmommy and granddaddy’s house to spend Thanksgiving with them and Aunt Jenny and Uncle Jason and Eliana … I was so excited and so were mommy and daddy … My first Thanksgiving and I got to spend it with family … it was going to just be mommy, daddy and me but at the last minute everything worked out …
I had so much fun … I can sit up now for pretty much as long as I want to sit … so while everyone was getting everything ready I sat on the couch and Eliana read to me and played with peek-a-blocks … I love when she tells me stories … she is so good at it …
Then we all sat down to dinner together … mommy got me my own turkey and sweet potatoes baby food and some peach cobbler so it was like i was having a real thanksgiving … it was the first time everyone had seen me eating real food … everything about the whole day was wonderful … I had a great time …
On Friday I hung out with mommy while she worked on a scrapbooking project … I can’t wait till I am old enough to help her … she lets me help pick out paper because lately I want to touch everything I can … so I get to touch all the paper and then pick which one she should use … but when I get to make my own pages, that is where the real fun will start …
